Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Nidi is a mobile app for keeping baby care records (feeding, sleep, diapers). It is developed by independent developer Mehmet Karadana, who is responsible for your data. Contact: mehmetkaradanasoftware@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account information: the user ID, name and email address that Apple or Google shares with us when you sign in. We do not use or see passwords. With Apple you can choose "Hide My Email".
- Content you enter: your baby's name and date of birth, caregiver names and roles (e.g. Mom, Dad), feeding, sleep and diaper records, and any notes you add to them.
- Family and invite information: which accounts belong to the same family, and invite codes created to invite your partner (codes expire after 48 hours and are deleted once used).
- Crash reports: when the app crashes, the device model, operating system version and technical details of the error (Firebase Crashlytics). These reports do not contain your care records.
- Purchase information: if you buy Nidi Pro, the type of subscription and its start and end dates (via RevenueCat, linked to your account ID). We never see your payment details (card etc.); Apple or Google takes the payment. To know whether Pro is active for the family, other family members' phones only see whether the paying person's subscription is active and when it ends.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health app data or advertising identifiers.
3. Data that stays on your device
Reminder notifications are scheduled on your phone and are not sent to our servers. The short summary used by the home screen widget and the Live Activity is kept only in shared storage on your phone. PDF reports are created on your phone and shared only with the people you choose.
4. How we use data
- to store your records and sync them between devices in the same family,
- to restore your data when you sign in with the same account on a new phone,
- to find and fix bugs in the app.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or marketing. Nidi does not give medical advice and does not evaluate your records; it only shows what you have entered.
5. Who can see it
Records can only be seen by accounts that have joined the same family (e.g. you and the partner you invited). Your data is processed on our behalf by Google's Firebase services (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics) and stored on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Purchase information is processed on our behalf by our subscription provider RevenueCat (USA); RevenueCat does not see your care records. Apple's or Google's own privacy policies apply to signing in. We do not share or sell your data to any other third party; we may only disclose it to authorities if legally required.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Database rules ensure that a family's data can only be accessed by members of that family.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data is kept until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time via Settings → Delete account. If you are the last member of the family, the baby's information and all records are permanently deleted too; if other members remain, the records stay for them and you leave the family. If you cannot access the app, follow the steps on the account deletion page. Crash reports are kept by Google for up to 90 days.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR and Turkish KVKK you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to object to its processing and to receive a copy of it. You can edit or delete your records inside the app; for any other request, write to mehmetkaradanasoftware@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
Nidi is designed for parents and caregivers and is not intended to be used by children themselves. Information about the baby is entered only by a parent or caregiver and used only for record keeping.
10. Changes
If we update this policy we will publish the new version on this page and change the date above.
